A delivery captured before it is changed
Video goes on first. A pitcher who has been told to “stay back” for three years usually finds out in the first ten minutes what that has actually been doing to his front side.
Pitching lessons in South Tampa, led by a former Major League pitcher. Brian Tollberg started parts of four seasons for the San Diego Padres in a twelve-year professional career, and Mikey Swanson and Ruben Rivera teach pitching alongside him. Every pitch is tracked on TrackMan and reviewed on video. Memberships from $249.99 a month.

TrackMan reports velocity, spin rate, spin axis, movement and release on every pitch. A curveball that feels sharp and a curveball that spins on the right axis are two different pitches, and the unit tells you which one was just thrown.
Tollberg started in the Major Leagues for the Padres, went undrafted out of college, and pitched twelve professional seasons. The instruction is about repeating a delivery under fatigue, because he had to.
Drills and side-by-side video land in the athlete’s Onform account so the between-session work is specific rather than general.
Our 1-on-1 training sessions provide athletes with individualized coaching focused on developing their skills, improving technique, and building confidence. Each session is tailored to the athlete's specific needs and goals, with specialized instruction from experienced coaches in their area of expertise.

The point of the equipment is that a change either shows up in a number or it did not happen.
Tracks pitch velocity, spin rate, spin axis, movement and release on every pitch.
The video app where an athlete’s lessons, drills and side-by-side comparisons live, so work continues between sessions.
High-frame-rate capture reviewed frame by frame with the athlete during the session.
Weighted balls and water-filled bags used for rotational power and anti-rotation core work.
My son recently started taking pitching and swing training with Arsenal. Staff is great, focusing on fundamentals and actually talk to my son, asking what he thinks he did wrong and then coaching through the corrections.
Brian dramatically improved my son's pitching ability. He is an incredible coach. I cannot recommend him enough.
Tier 1 coaching and amazing facility. Brian is a master of his craft and a great/patient communicator. Thanks again!!

Brian Tollberg, a former Major League pitcher, leads pitching at Arsenal Performance Training, with Mikey Swanson and Ruben Rivera. Tollberg pitched parts of four seasons as a starter for the San Diego Padres across a twelve-year professional career and was named National League Player of the Week during his debut week. For softball, Robyn Herron teaches 1-on-1 softball pitching.
A pitching lesson at Arsenal Performance Training starts with video of the delivery before anything is changed. TrackMan then measures velocity, spin rate, spin axis, movement and release on every pitch thrown, so a breaking ball is judged on its spin axis rather than on how it felt. Drills and side-by-side video go to the athlete's Onform account.
A pitcher at Arsenal Performance Training who needs one group pitching lesson a week fits Stealth Bomber, $249.99 a month for one class a week. A pitcher who needs consistent work across several areas of development fits Tank Soldier, $399.99 for two classes a week, or Max Arsenal, $589.99 for three. A single one-hour pitching group is $80 as a drop-in, and the right amount depends on the athlete's age and season.
Arsenal Performance Training uses HitTrax, TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swing AI, Onform and video analysis. HitTrax gives exit velocity and launch angle on batted balls. TrackMan gives pitch velocity, spin rate, spin axis, movement and release. Blast Motion gives bat speed and attack angle. Together they turn "he looks better" into a number that either moved or did not.
Arsenal Performance Training works with athletes from age six through the professional level. Founder Ricardo Lizcano has spent over a decade coaching that full range, and has completed more than 10,000 lessons in person and online. Instruction is built around the individual athlete rather than an age bracket, so a nine-year-old and a college pitcher are not given the same session.
No membership is needed. Arsenal Performance Training books 1-on-1 lessons per session, from $55 for thirty minutes, and runs one-hour drop-in groups: $80 for hitting or pitching, $50 for strength and conditioning, and $30 for speed and agility. Cage time is $35 for thirty minutes. Memberships start at $249.99 a month and can be cancelled before the billing date.
Memberships from $249.99 per month, a one-hour drop-in pitching group for $80, or 1-on-1 lessons from $55. Memberships are month-to-month and can be cancelled before the billing date. Call (813) 872-7765 during opening hours and someone will match your athlete to the right coach.
